Centrifuge use tips

1. Clean the inner cavity and outer shell of the centrifuge at least once a week with a damp soft cloth, using water or a soft neutral cleaner for cleaning. Alkaline solutions or other solvents that can corrode the centrifuge components should not be used. Use a cloth or tweezers to move the stains inside the centrifuge chamber. When wiping the centrifuge chamber, be gentle to avoid damaging the temperature sensor inside the chamber.

2. Check the balance status of the centrifuge spindle system every 3 months. Regularly use a spirit level to check if the machine is level when placed on the centrifuge spindle or centrifuge body. If it is found to be not level, it must be adjusted to a horizontal state.

3. If the centrifuge is relocated, the instrument level needs to be readjusted.

4. Check the speed every 3 months to ensure it matches the displayed value on the screen.

5. Turn on the centrifuge once a week, run a rotor at low speed, and check to ensure that it is functioning properly.

6. Before use, check whether the centrifuge tube has cracks. Do not use centrifuge tubes with cracks. If the centrifuge tube ruptures during the centrifugation process, it will cause significant vibration and should be stopped immediately for treatment.

7. Before each use, the rotor should be checked for corrosion points and minor cracks. It is prohibited to use rotors that have already been corroded or have cracks.

8. Do not use rotors that have exceeded their rated lifespan to avoid the risk of rotor flying and cracking.

9. After centrifugation, the rotor should be removed from the centrifuge chamber, cleaned and dried with neutral detergent in a timely manner to prevent chemical corrosion, and stored upside down in a dry and ventilated place. It is not allowed to use neutral cleaning agents to scrub the rotor, and it is not allowed to use electric hot air to dry the rotor. A small amount of lubricating grease or medical Vaseline should be applied to the center hole of the rotor for protection to prevent corrosion and affect the service life of the rotor. When the centrifuge is not suitable for a short period of time, the top cover should be opened to keep the centrifuge chamber dry.

10. When the instrument is not suitable for a long time or during maintenance, the main power plug should be removed, otherwise the instrument will be charged, especially during maintenance, which may cause safety accidents.

11. When the rotor is not in use, it should be removed from the centrifuge chamber and cannot be stored in the centrifuge chamber
